Locally Owned, Produced, Tested, & Manufactured in Minnesota

Our products have always been made in Minnesota and derived from hemp grown solely in the U.S.A. under strict regulations (versus hemp grown in Eastern Europe or in other unregulated countries). But we wanted to take that a step farther by finding an industry-leading specialist to oversee the farming of hemp and extraction of CBD. We wanted to know our source—visit the farmers and touch the soil. We began working with the Minnesota Hemp Farms in Southern Minnesota. Minnesota Hemp Farms (MHF) is made up of farmers who know how to plant, grow, harvest and process crops. They too are focused on hemp as it providing a profitable alternative cash crop for farmers in times of uncertainty.

Since discussions have begun, Minnesota Hemp Farms have partnered with farmers to secure 2000+ acres of hemp crop for 2019 growing season. They are also nearing completion of an 800,000 square foot state of the art CBD extraction facility—one of the largest in the country.  This partnership includes investors; the Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner and other elected officials; University of Minnesota scientists who are working to produce the best hemp strains; and chemists working to create the purest CBD oil which delivers the highest concentrations of CBD for the most effect.  The group will make Minnesota an epicenter for hemp. Like “Idaho Potatoes” or “Washington Apples”, we believe the industry will soon recognize “Minnesota Hemp and CBD oil” as the de facto industry standard.

CANVIVA™ PURE Pet CBD Oil Tincture.

Natural. Pure. Effective.

CANVIVA PURE Pet CBD Oil Tincture contains whole-plant ethanol extracted CBD and features a full spectrum of naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes perfect for your pet. And, because we blend our CBD extracts with MCT oil, they are easier to metabolize.

As with our other products, you can feel 100% confident that your “best friend” is getting the highest quality products available anywhere. Accordingly, we use only PURE CERTIFIED CBD™ Oil derived from U.S. grown organic industrial hemp. Solvent-free, free of pesticides and impurities, and produced under strict manufacturing practices, each batch is third-party, lab tested.

Because your pet’s health is as important as your own.

Like you, your pet has an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that works to keep their bodies balanced. Therefore, like you, they can benefit from CBD. Increasingly, pet owners use CBD products to help manage a variety of issues as part of their pet’s (and their own) health and wellness regimen. (Read Renee Evans’ A Nurse’s View On CBD.) For pets, these issues include but are not limited to pain, arthritis, anxiety, and skin health.

Help your pet be its best with CANVIVA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hemp Vs. Marijuana

CBD vs THC –

What is the difference?

CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are both cannabinoids found in industrial hemp and marijuana plants.

CBD and THC bind to cannabinoid receptors in your body to help regulate many of its vital functions. THC binds differently, resulting in the psychoactive effects or “high” commonly associated with smoking or consuming marijuana. CBD, however, does not bind with this receptor in the same manner and does not produce the same psychoactive effects.

C4Life products are made with hemp-derived Cannabinoid oil that is phytocannabinoid-rich, full spectrum, and organically grown in the USA. Our industrial hemp oil contains less than 0.3% THC.

CBD is generally believed to be safe, well tolerated, and effective. It should not produce any psychoactive effects.

What is CBD?

CBD oil is derived from industrial hemp plants with high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) while having low levels of THC. The cannabidiol (CBD) content of CBD oil varies tremendously since the manufacturers use an assortment of cannabis plants and preparation techniques. We produce CBD oil with a high concentration of CBD that contains less than 0.3% THC.

Are CBD products legal?

Currently, industrial hemp-derived CBD products are legal in all 50 states, and over 40 countries. You should always check with your local government, police department, or customs office for the most up to date information regarding the legality of CBD in your area. This article should not be considered legal advice. We strongly recommend that you check with your local administration to ensure that you are happy with the legality of consuming these products before you buy them.

Is CBD safe to consume with my doctor-prescribed medications?

Grapefruit and CBD have a similar effect on P450, an enzyme found in the liver, which metabolizes different kinds of drugs in the human body. If taken in large doses, CBD can inhibit the metabolizing properties of P450, temporarily neutralizing the effects of other medicinal products in the body’s system. This side effect is also responsible for why cannabidiol counteracts the effects of THC.

A review on the safety and side effects of cannabidiol found that CBD might interfere with the hepatic drug metabolism, alteration of in vitro cell viability, decreased fertilization capacity or the reduced activity of p-glycoprotein.

How does CBD work in the body?

Unlike THC, which primarily binds to CB-1 receptors located in the brain, CBD works in the body by manipulating receptors throughout organ tissues, the immune system, the pain response system, the hormonal system, and other whole-body regulatory systems. Since its receptors have been found to exist in virtually every cell and tissue type in the body, CBD is believed to work on every aspect of human health and behavior, from the subcellular level to the whole-body level and beyond. Also, since it affects different receptors than THC (receptors located outside the brain), CBD does NOT produce any mind-altering effects.

In the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan poured tens of millions of dollars into a study to prove that marijuana damages the human brain. Rather than showing how marijuana harms the brain, the Reagan administration ended up subsidizing a series of studies that culminated in the discovery of the endocannabinoid system (ECS).

CBD works in the body by activating receptors and neurotransmitters in the ECS. Found in all vertebrate species, ECS plays a vital role in regulating and modulating a wide range of bodily processes. To give you an idea of just how important this is, here’s a list of just some of the functions it regulates:
• Mood
• Appetite
• Pain
• Digestion
• Sleep
• Immune function
• Motor control
• The dopamine system (motivation, pleasure, and reward)
• Memory
• Temperature
• Reproduction and fertility

When the ECS becomes disrupted, these processes can fall out of balance. In turn, this can cause any manner of physical ailment, such as fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). This pathology is termed “Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency” (CECD). If you follow this train of thought, you can see why cannabinoids such as CBD might offer such vast therapeutic potential in treating CECD and its related medical conditions.

CBD is therapeutic in nature and will work to manipulate bodily systems at the cellular level. This returns afflicted organ, tissue, and chemical systems in the central nervous system back to a state of health and homeostasis.

What does CBD help with?

The FDA does not permit us to use anecdotal evidence to affirm that CBD can have beneficial (and often curative) effects on a variety of serious conditions and diseases. However, many users say that CBD oil helps them with the challenges of Alzheimer’s, Anorexia, Anxiety, Arthritis, Asthma, Chronic pain, Depression, Epilepsy (seizures), Inflammation from various conditions, Insomnia, Multiple Sclerosis, Nausea (emesis), Obesity, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
